Department of Economics has organised OECONOMIA 2020: State Level Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition for undergraduate and postgraduate students of different colleges in Kerala. The competition was held on 26th of October, 2020 and it was a huge success as students from more than 20 colleges across Kerala has took part in the competition. The activity covered quiz on the general theme – “Recent Developments in Economic Theorising: New Classical, New Keynesian, Behavioural and Experimental Economics”, which was conducted in three rounds. The programme provided a good opportunity to the students of economics to explore the world of new advances in economic theorising and also triggered the subject knowledge of students.

It is no crime to be ignorant of economics, which is, after all, a specialized discipline and one that most people consider to be a ‘dismal science.’ But it is totally irresponsible to have a loud and vociferous opinion on economic subjects while remaining in this state of ignorance.
